What is Infrared Photography? In modern days photographers use photo sensor that is sensitive for infrared light or infrared filter that you put in front of your lens. In most cases it is near-infrared light, the part of spectrum 590nm - 900 nm. The beauty of it you see the color that not exist. What was green vegetation now is glowing white like a snow. Our brain can not comprehend that part of light spectrum. It is invisible to us. Thats is why photographers use so named "false color" infrared, swapping colors with channel mixer in post processing. Then it will look more pleasing for the eye. More natural appearance that we get use to: blue sky and white, glowing foliage - dreamy, fantasy winter look. For me it is new horizon of exploration of photography digital art where you can create new effect in simple photograph. With my super color infrared filter (590nm) I have an advantage of making both standard looking and colorful infrared images or converting them to black&white. Therefore it will be no wrong photos because there is no limit for the art and imagination!
